Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.2% Jan 26–Mon, 0.9% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Jan 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation remained at 0.2% between January 26 and Monday and reached 0.9% from January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement Wednesday.
In 2015, consumer prices rose 3.9% in January.
In the reported week, sugar prices grew 1.2%, while prices for frozen fish, margarine, bread, flour, caramel, and tea rose 0.2%.
Prices for pork, chicken meat, eggs, and salt fell 0.2–0.3%.
Fruit and vegetable prices rose 0.9% on average in the period, including prices for apples rising by 1.7%, for cabbage by 1.2%, and for carrots by 1.1%. But cucumbers became 0.9% cheaper.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices fell 0.1%.
